strange batch capture problem
when i batch capture a handful of clips, fcp cuts out roughly 30 seconds before the specified end of the clip and moves onto the next one. then, once the batch capture is finished, the batch window pops up and instead of saying ” 0 clips – Finished”, it wants to start all over. if i click “Cancel” fcp readjusts the out times for the clips in the browser and shows the clips as captured. i’ve seen it do this anywhere from 3 minutes to 30 seconds before the logged out of the clip. we’ve updated to the latest aja firmware and drivers, OS 10.3.9, FCP 5.0. i should also mention that this seems to only happen when capturing to XSAN, not to the local HUGE SCSI array.
any ideas?

it may have something to do with splitting the audio and video to separate files on capture. developing….
