  • Strange 1 frame offset when using CS6 Dynamic Link.

Posted by Dustin Bowser on March 26, 2013 at 1:44 am

When Dynamic Linking between Premiere Pro and After Effects CS6, I’ve noticed that it offsets my footage by 1 frame, and also the comp itself seems to be a frame short when represented in the timeline.

Also, the first frame of the After Effects comp is offset by 1 frame as well.

Any idea why this would be happening?

I would try and make the comp in AE – one frame longer….

Yeah, I guess a little manual jiggering is required….

Hope they sort that out. Seems a bit janky.

I have also noticed in CS6, that when digitising from a Betacam deck, there is a one frame offset as well.

I digitised a picture that started at 00:02:00:00 and when in Premiere, the picture actually starts at 00:02:00:01 – a little disconcerting!
