My team is using a workflow wherein AEs get *only* proxy media- no full res. So I am now going to sync this media and I’m having trouble making multicam sequences. The prereq for making the multicams is to fill in the Camera Angle metadata field, but Premiere is showing it as grayed out on all the clips that don’t have full res (see screenshot). I assume this is because Pr stores the .xmp files next to the full res, so without it, it’s just like “sorry no can do!.” With any clip that has full res, it works just fine.
Is there any way to ask Pr to store this metadata info somewhere else! This is seriously cramping my style.
I can’t do the trick where I just relink the proxies or some other media as full res, for reasons I won’t bore you all with, having to do with the way our workflow works down the line.
