This is my first post, though I often com to CCOW to answer just about all my FCP questions, however I am really stuck on this one thing so I decided to ask the experts.

I am going to be filming a job that will be shot with 7 cameras (iso) shooting in Panasonic INTRA100 codec along with a live to tape edit for a total of 8 streams of HD footage. The performance I am filming is 4 hours long (yes its a little bit padded just incase) I am so lost as to what kind of RAID Array I should get or how much room. Where I really get lost is weather to go with Fibre Channel or Mini SAS, and then if I go with the Fibre Channel do I get dual 2 Gbit or dual 4 Gbit. Any help/ guidance/ advice would be super helpful. Thanks again.

    Joe.

Maxx Digital SAS / SATA Evo HD series will fit the bill nicely. Anywhere from 500 to 700+MB/s.

You can also look at Sonnet and Dulce. Fibre channel is not needed and it costs up to 4x what SAS/SATA runs.

We run the original Evo HD (8TB) and the new 16 bay 16TB array, used to be the Evo HD 2 but they recently changed the name of it.
