Stop rotation then start again wull null
comp("Ball").layer("Disco Ball Surface").effect("CC Sphere")("Rotation Y")*-1+100I have a sphere that is rotating. I have a null object that is connected to several text layers and the null is linked to the rotation value of the sphere. I need the sphere to keep spinning but the null to stop (so the text is still), then start again. I know this is probably a checkbox control, but i cant figure out how to insert it into the rotation expression of my null. Is there a way i can keyframe the null to slow down as the text comes to a stop? (if not, no big deal) Thanks for your help!

You could do it with a couple of layer markers on the null. This example follows the sphere’s rotation until the first layer marker, stops until the 2nd marker, then starts rotating again:
