  • Stop Motion plug-in?

Posted by Alexa Inkeles on August 31, 2009 at 11:32 pm

    Hey community,
I’m looking for plug-in for FCP to create fake stop motion.
If I can do it manually, someone must have made a plug-in to make my life easier?
For example, say I have a 5 minute real time 60i clip and I want to just pull 2 out of every 5 frames from it for a nice visual effect.
    Any ideas? Thank!

You can do this easily with a TimeX node in Shake. You create a simple formula for the frames you want & plug it into the node in Shake & send that output to a fileout to render.

    The strobe filter does this.

Have as good a day as you can.
