I edit in Premiere Pro and I’m looking for good stock music. Currently subscribe to royaltyfreemusic.com but I’m looking for more hip, more frequently updated. I love killertracks because they have original songs with lyrics but it’s pretty expensive. Suggestions? Also, is there a sight where I can purchase just single songs without a subscription until we get a new subscription budgeted? Thanks in advance!

I’ve been using smart sound.com lately. The music cuts can be purchased individually of group 10 of them to make an album. Plus, most of their newer music is available in multiple mixes from full, to background, to atmospheric, to solo instruments, sometimes up to 10 variations.

I have used the following three sites. Each offers a different level of public performing rights in addition to a synchronization license:

    – stockmusicsite.com includes non-broadcast performing rights
    – RoyaltyFreeMusicLibrary.com includes internet performing rights for synched content; in addition, direct performance licenses can be acquired for a nominal fee
    – Pond5.com does not include public performing rights

Please note performance rights only matter if you want to play the tracks/videos and don’t have a PRO license through BMI, ASCAP, etc. Your clients will still need to arrange their own public performing rights.

Apm music, audio jungle, stockmusic.net, pond5. All pretty good stock sites and the last three are very affordable. Apm you need to register for and you can fownload without a word mark bit it doesn’t cost anything to sign up. It is great for instrumental music.
