stock music question…
i was wondering if anyone knew of any other product (like smartsound) that can be customized so precisely? also, smartsound files have layers that can be removed for a variety of treatments, which is very useful to me. anyone you know sell products like these? (other than smartsound, that is) thanks.

I think digital juice has a similar product. At least the layers and such.

Sony ACID Pro and ACID Music Studio have the same type of multi layer capabilities. I own ACID Pro, and its’ capabilities for loop creation and music creation are astounding for its’ price. I can plug my MIDI instruments into it and record while I have a digital audio track playing back, and all sorts of other things. They sell loop collections (there’s also tons of stuff free online) as well as what they call 8 Packs, which are tracks which have 8 editable tracks to vary the sound of the track, and arrange your own versions.

Thanks, Joe! Yes, I am aware of Acid Pro. I own it and use it occasionally. But I like Smartsound for the sheer quickness I can create music. Acid Pro is very good for those who want something more unique, if you want to take the time. But also, it demands more creative music ability than I have. I can usually get something I like, but it takes me awhile, through trial and error, to come up with something.
