  • Stills into FCP. What’s the best source?

Looking for a digital camera that will take stills that can easily be imported into FCP without any or much modification. Even the stills off the PD-150 were 640×480. Sold the PD anyway. After much searching it seems that there is only one Toshiba camera that has the 720×480 option, and I’m thinking they may even end up distorted dependingon their pixel ratio. Any thoughts, workarounds?

Why not go with a megapixel camera? You can take any image size into FCP, and larger pictures allow things like DVE “push-ins” and the like. Just a thought.

Or just create an action in Photoshop to batch convert files from the best possible digital camera that you can afford to standard FCP file sizes.

I’m a Photoshop guy, but it seem that other image/picture manipulation programs — perhaps iPhoto or Lemke Software GraphicConverter ( https://www.lemkesoft.de/en/index.htm )– can batch convert high quality digital photos to your desired resolution. Look on your Mac. You will probably find that they are already installed.

    No brainer solutions,

    Don’t worry Mr. B. I have a cunning plan…
