Stills in timeline in Davinci 8.0.

In my experience, no.

If you bring in an XML, they show up as blank.
If you force conform them to a tiff/jpg in a folder, that works, but its manual.
If you get through all your stills, the system becomes unstable and crashes a lot.
If you manage to get to a render point, they don’t render out half the time.

So no, I’ve not had much luck.

Page 134 in the revised Manual has a list of the effects that currently are and are not supported in DaVinci Resolve’s XML import. Currently, Still images and Freeze Frames are unsupported.

Yeah I knew that.
I’ve dropped tiffs in the conform and changes speed to 0fps so I could do resizing and so on. It works but it’s a bit clunky.
Just wanted to see if anyone else has been playing with any similar workarounds.
