I know this has been covered a few thousand times but I still want to get this clear. I’m working on a slideshow in FCP. I will be zooming and panning on the images so I know I need to make the stills double the frame size of my timeline (approx.) So….when I’m sanning these images into photoshop I need to set the dpi at 72? then save the files as tiffs (uncompressed)? Let me know if I’m right or wrong and what you think the optimal image stats should be for a 720×480 timeline. I’ve used the wrong settings in fcp before and it bogged my system down badly. thanks!

You have it right. Hard to say without seeing the images how much you need to be able to move on them, but the smaller you make them, the faster it will all go in the end.
