Stills exporting as 640 x 480!
ARgh!
Working in DV50… exporting clips and quicktime conversion stills (TIFF) for some effects work in Combustion.
All stills are being rendered to 640×480! So they don’t match up to my 720×480 video clips… even if I hit the D1 pixels button in my effects software, things aren’t lining up perfectly. This didn’t use to happen
HELP!

No, the application behavior was changed. It now looks as if you have to go into Photoshop and reset the aspect ratio back to 720×480 if you’re trying to round trip for roto or some effect.

Man, that completely sucks! What are they thinking?!?! The “pro” in Final Cut Pro is diminishing all the time.
Dear Apple: let the professional users decide if they want to keep their D1 pixels in the pipeline. do not arbitrarily go resizing things so Uncle Bob with his Lame Home Videos can make better iDVD’s. Thank You – A Video Professional

Not going to do much good here. It’d be better if you used the Feedback link in the Final Cut Pro menu.

When you only have a few people beta testing a product that over 800,000 people use, stuff like this happens. Apple needs a much larger beta program to catch stupid stuff like this.

Actually, if they still have the folks, Apple has had people dedicated to pulling information from all Apple related forums here at the Creative Cow. Yes you should also fill out a feedback form, but it’s probable the FCP team has seen your post as well.
