Wanted to know how to transition from one image to another in AE. So I need to create a move for each image and export to NLE or can I do the whole project in AE with transitions between each image? Thanks.

We need a little more specific info to answer your question correctly.
BUt you can do it either way, it just depends on your workflow.
If you have a program that will export the timeline of you program, like Automatic Duck, then that might be easier, but will take longer to export out of AE.
Or you can just export the movies that you want to transition, do the transsitions in AE, then cut those back into your sequence.
Like I said, it depends on your workflow.

Depending on how many images you need to do this with…

I often do my moves in AE, WITHOUT transitions, leaving plenty of handles on either side of my moves, render out a movie, and then import that into my NLE to chop it up and add transitions.

The advantage I find is that I find it easier to make minute adjustments to the transitions in an NLE. Once you’ve rendered your file from AE and you need to change a transition, that’s another render of the whole file to sit through, rather than just the transition.

    Thanks Guys.

My workflow will produce the moves in AE, export and then edit in Final Cut. Thanks again.
