Sorry but still looking for my point a – point b plugin.
Well i guess a better way of discribing it would be.
A distortion plugin that has the same controls as the AE Beam generator plugin.But instead of generating a simple beam its distorting the layer/sequince along the beam line. Using its 3d perspective option and width settings for each end.
If anyone knows of such a plugin please let me know.
And if anyone can hack together such a plugin really quickly and would offer it for free… I would love you forever 🙂
Please let me know of anyway you can help.Also failing that If anyone would offer me a fools simplistic guide to AE plugin coding tutorials or anything that could help me learn to make it myself again I would be greatful.

Yeah no it didnt work… Maybe you didnt understand what im trying to do… Think of it this way… Replacing the generated beam with a sequinced laser texture i have made…

Basicly using a plugin that has simuler controls to beam…

Out of a pre made laser effect. A simple left to right laser texture.Idealy what i would do for every laser effect I add the layer [laser00-30.png] And and apply this disotion. Set the start point and the end point. Set each points width turn on the 3d perspective box and volla the laser effect is done.
It needs to be simple like this as there ALOT to do.

Did you know that they didnt rotoscope it in the same way as you might be implying…
Its alot easyer now than it was then.

I’m still going to offer you the Distort > Corner Pin effect, expressions and a high school trig book.
I’ll try and work it out for you, but I have my own work to be doing as well.

Yeah im loking into the idea exspressions could work. But i dont know the commands or how to script it so im just reading up now.
