Still Images, Can’t Adjust Length
Hey Gang…
I’m a new Aja user here (after many years as a Canopus guy) so I may just be doing something stupid, but if so I haven’t figured out what it is.
We are having some trouble with still images in Premiere Pro2.
Photoshop and jpeg images come in fine and are perfect usuable. However some formats, most notably bitmaps and targa files, import ONLY as single frames. Futhermore, their lengths/durations CANNOT be changed on the timeline… neither by trying to specify a new length NOR by dragging the handles in an attempt to stretch them.
They simply come in as 1-frame images… and darn it, that’s what they’re gonna be.
Am I doing something wrong??? Still image preferences are set correctly.
We have lots and LOTS of old graphics that are frequently re-used and I’ve been working around this problem for the last few days by converting them all to PSD files… but I’m getting tired of doing that and it seems to be an unnecessary step when things should be working correctly.

Hi Todd,
I just caught up on the saga over on the PPro forum…
I read the entire thread…actually both of them…I think it’s time to just rip it all out and reinstall.
Sometimes things just need a fresh start.
