June 26, 2013 at 3:22 amWell, I think I’ve finally got this figured out. I followed the suggestion of doubling the size of the still image to 3240×2160. That alone didn’t solve the problem, but when I jacked the bitrate UP, the image quality was greatly improved. There’s still a hint of pixelation here and there, but it’s much better than it was.
I’ve recut the video using the dissolves and fades that I wanted to use originally. You can see the new version here: https://www.godtube.com/watch/?v=WWD6Y7NX
