    Hello,

I’ve been creating a video slideshow of still images that were edited in Photoshop. I’m doing a bunch of panning, scanning, zooming, etc. The images are all 72 dpi, however, I’m not zooming in very much so the image quality seems to look fine. However, upon viewing a burned DVD of the final project (on an NTSC monitor), I notice some annoying flickering in areas like eyes, teeth, rooftops, background trees, etc. It looks like those annoying mores are being produced somehow. It wouldn’t bother most people, but I’m a bit of a perfectionist and I’m really left wondering what is happening.

I’ve tried a number of things like adjusting fields, de-interlacing, etc. The only thing that seems to have any effect is if I employ a very slight (1%) gaussian blur filter. However, some of it still remains. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

    Ciao,
    Chris

you could up the blur, but it would start to be noticeable.

better option is to open the files in photohop, and selectively blur the problem areas with the blur tool.

oh, and you should be monitoring your FCP work on an external monitor.
you wouldn’t have to wait till you;d burnt the dvd to see any artifacting.

I use a plug-in called Pan Zoom Pro.

It’s a bit of a pain to work with but the results are worth it.
