I want to add a still image taken directly from a moving shot and add this back to the timeline. At the moment I get the comb effect on the frozen image when I view it.

I have tried exporting both a still image via quicktime conversion as well as making a freeze frame direct from the sequence. Both have the same effect. Looks like an interlace issue.

What is the best export setting for the still image to deliver a clean still?

    Thanks

    Hi Tom,
If you are working with interlaced footage, sure you are getting the two fields in your freeze Frame.
Just drop a de-interlacer filter before making the Freeze frame.
    Best,
