  Still can’t figure out why Premiere is creating multiple identical cfa files

  Spending way to much time waiting for “conforming” when I’ve already got a perfectly good cfa file next to my original h.264 file. Why does Premiere feel the need to create a “_1.cfa” file when the “.cfa” file is already there? My preferences are set to “Save Media Cache files next to originals when possible”. Anybody know a fix for this, and/or why it’s doing this?

  32gb ram
  3.4ghz Intel Core i7-4770

  Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014.1, 8.1.0 Build
