So i’ve been struggling to setup a stereoscopic setup using the nvidia 3D vision glasses (which are supposed to work in media composer) without success for several weeks. So I turn myself to your help:

    Here are the specifics:

    -PC core i7 9Go Ram

    -Windows Vista 64

    -Medica Composer 4

-Quadro 4600 with latest quadro drivers v191 and usb 3D vision stereo drivers v191

    -Nvidia 3D vision system

    -Viewsonic 120Hz projector

With that setup I’m able to watch 3D files using the nvidia player or any other player compatible with the 3D vision. So I know my system is working ‘3D wise’

But when I get to media composer and I set the composer settings to stereo with side by side and checkerboard options all I get is a overlay of the right image over the left image without any 3D effect. It’s like the glasses are not commuicating with the avid.

Can anybody who has experience with a similar setup tell me how they got it to work?

    Thanks

In Full Screen Play settings you can set up how you want the left and right eyes to be displayed – interlace or checkerboard. Then, over the DVI on the graphics card we go to monitors that support that format – Hyundai, JVC, and consumer monitors like Samsung and Mitshubishi that are “3D Ready” using active glasses.

I do not beleive there is support for nVidia 3D.
