I have a question, I do all my work in Mono so no matter what audio channel is up the same is going out over both channels. I do weddings and I dont want a complaint just because someone does have both audio channels hooked up at their house. I know in FCP I need to capture in mono mode to get mono the way I like it BUT when I go tapeless I imagine it will capture stereo. Can I use compressor to convert a stereo clip to dual mono?

    Thanks
    Randy

In FCP panning your audio channels to center would give you the same results as a mono channel.
