Stereo to Mono
I have a stereo MP4 file. Is it possible to convert this to Mono within the FCP sequence ?

Convert the file to a 48 KHz aiff in another program.
Import to FCP.
Double click the clip to load it into the viewer.
Set the pan slider to zero in the Stereo(a1a2) tab in the viewer.
Export or play out.
There are probably better ways to do this, depending on what you are doing it for.
