    You should try using the audio out put (headphone jack) with it set to optical. Then with the right cable, you should be able to go out to a home theater 5.1 system.

    Or you can get a firewire audio box. There are a bunch of different kinds.

    I have a friend who specializes in this. If you have the original audio stems it might be possible to remix into real surround sound. If all you have is a stereo mix, it can be sort of faked. If you want to get my friend’s contact info, email me off list at arniepix (at) arniepix (dot) com
