Stepping through fields?
Posted by Michael Klaumann on October 27, 2008 at 5:33 pmIs there a way to step through and see the individual fields? Checking for flash frames. On the Avid I have it mapped on my keyboard.
Thanks

October 28, 2008 at 1:57 pmIt’s not possible to see individual fields in FCP. I find this is a REAL problem when working with mixed codec material as it very easy to get a clip with incorrect field dominance and it’s difficult if not impossible to see.
If you’ve got a copy of Shake, you could use that as it will step through single fields. -

Probably 80% of our footage is 24 frame with a pulldown to 30 so I really need to check the edit points for that flash field.
Thanks for your responses
