    Hi everyone,
I have searched this site and many others for the proper step by step detailed tutorial (for dummies) walk through of how to go from final cut pro project finished of footage shot with the Canon 5D Mark II or 7D footage to export via compressor or any other tool to get the BEST quality standard definition dvd as possible. There has to be a solid straight forward way of doing this. I wanted to team up and maybe produce an online tutorial video of this process. if anyone is interested please contact me aq*******@***il.com

Whch version of studio do you have? How much footage is there? Have you tried the DVD best quality preset in compressor because that does what it says on the tin…

ok so this is what im using and what I have been doing.

I use a Mac Pro with Final Cut ver. 7.0.2 with DVD studio pro ver 4.2.2. I have been shooting canon 5D Mark II footage 1080p 30fps. I convert my files from the camera on mpeg streamclip from the raw files to pro res 422 LT.
once I finish editing my product typically nothing more than an hour or so. I send to compressor and use the DVD Best Quality 90 minutes settings AS IS I don’t adjust anything. Then I import those files into DVD studio pro.

    Hi Anthony,

What you’re doing sounds fine. One thing you might look at is downloading the new Canon Log & Transfer plugin.

I have a tutorial which will guide you through the conversion process here: 848_canondslrfcpworkflow.pdf.zip

    All the best,
    Alex
