Hi, all!

To keep things simple and with the introduction of Cinema R10, SteadyCAMPROv21 is now a free plugin called
SteadyCAM_FE (FREE EDITION) and can be downloaded from:

tcastudios

This way, there are no issues with licenses for anyone that want to use the SCPROv21 plugins in R10.

Please download SteadyCAM_FE and put it in the R10 plugin folder.

SteadyCAM_FE comes with no support but is the same as SteadyCAMPROv21 in functionality.
SteadyCAM_FE works with R9.1 to R10 but some functions will need R9.5 or higher.

it’s free, it’s complicated and there’s “no support in any form, questions will not be answered.”

just wondering if anyone on the forum could help out with this thing. it looks interesting but after looking at the docs and quickstart movie i can’t get it to work or appear when you try to load it even though it’s in the plug folder and it shows up in the tag list. (the navigator, flight and goal will load but neither the glide or the SteadyCAMPROv21 seem to be functional at all). even though the tags are there, when you try to load the object files . . . nothing.

i’m running c4d 9.6 on a mac 10.3.9. the release notes say it can be used with cinema 9.1-10. is it a mac thing or am i missing something? (it wouldn’t be the first time.)

Hi ronaldo.
Please dload again. Apearently some of the files where saved in the R10 format, thats why they don’t load in R9.
The “no support” is only not to bog down my mailbox:)
I’ll answer anything I can around at forums but not by mail.

Cheers

lennart,

thank you so much. those all work now. i’ve looked at the demo tut’s again and am starting to get it. yikes! what amazing tools. i hope to be able to master them soon and banish all my bad camera moves.

btw, when you speak of “trim” in regards to the camera what does that refer to? i’ve never encountered that as a camera term before. thanks again.

In short. Trimming is just that, trimming. It is no camera term that I know of:)
Basically you set for example two key frames, like panning between two figures.
By default, that camera will look straight into the stomach (or more correctly, the center of the object).
Without changing or adding any keyframes, you can now trim the aiming point for each pan position.
You can have the same figure in T(arget)1 and T2 and “pan” the figure itself!
T1 could be the eyes and T1 one of the hands. Oh, the other hand? Trim it!

Cheers
Lennart
