  • static on P2 card????

Today I was shooting some clips on my P2 card, and played back on set, and everything was fine. But after playback, I shut the camera down and brought it home, inserted P2 and there was nothing but static on every clip I shot, except for the first clip which was fine. I reinserted the card into the camera and found out that everything had been labeled red X (with gray background). Unplayable on camera and on computer.

I played back in the same format I shot in.

I reformatted the card and shot test samples.. cards are fine now..

Question here is: Panasonic says red X with gray background is beyond repair, but in another post here I read that Barry Green says he has never met a clip he couldn’t repair.

What should I do the next time I get this? Should I save the static/scrambled clip? if I cannot repair it in-camera, is it worth saving onto a hard drive?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I have never seen this. Don’t know if it will happen again, but if it does, I am sure that Panaosnic would like to take a look at both the camera and the card.

    Thanks,
