Hi. I have a S354UFER RAID enclosure and it is behaving strangely. I was using it with eSATA and had problem deleting files. It was taking forever so eventually I rebooted. Since then I have been having a number of problems. There were some files that would not open, the Application in windows 7 just hangs. I am also having problems writing. I can write some files but then the enclose reboots and thrashes the disk for some time before coming back on-line. I can sometimes delete files but sometimes doing so causes the reboot I described. Reading files seems to work but finding enough storage to copy everything is a problem (my important files are elsewhere but not everything). I have run checkdisk (it hang first time but now runs) but cant do a full scan.

I can try to back everything up and reformat but wondering if there is a hardware problem with the enclosure. Anyone else had problems with these enclosures? Anyone got any insight into what may of happened or even better solutions?

    Regards,
    Ben
