  • Start in FCP or Motion? Newbie question

    Hello.

I’ve got the latest FCP and Motion. I’m fairly new to video. I’m trying to do a music video of one of my songs.
The video is effect intensive. Lots of photo puppets and compositing. My question is this: Should I use Motion as my main creative tool and then bring it all into FCP for the final assembly, or should I start in FCP and just export the effect-heavy sections to Motion and back again?

    Thanks.

EDIT in FCP, Motion graphics and the like in Motion. Composite in both…Motion might be better, but plugins make FCP viable for that too.

But the main app is FCP. That is what you edit with. Trying to edit with Motion will be like walking in a swamp with snow skis.
