Ok I’m stumped. Hopefully the collective wisdom of the cow can save me. I need to make text travel up a road. ala Star Wars style.
My problem is that the road curves away to the right half way up the screen. Effectively what I need to do it distort the text with a bezier.
But how? I’ve looked at FCP and Motion and can’t seem to find a solution. Any ideas?

Well, I checked it out on my FCP 5.0.4 and no luck. The only way I can think of is After Effects.

Yes. So you can do it in After Effects? I haven’t used it for a little while.

im positive you could this is just making text fallow a path, for referance befor you try, brake up your text into a bunch of smaller chunks.
this is for 2 reasons, a.e. will work with it better this way

and secondly think of it as a train, all the cars move seperatly but are pulled by one object, if tey were all one thing the turns would force the train off the tracks, but since they all have a rnage to pivit and move, you can get them to work much better

also, as a side note, it’s more fear and loathing in lasvagas with a twist, their text fallows a road in the end, it just doesn’t turn

Thanks. Only problem is, is that the text has been rendered into a movie so I need to Bend it Like Beckham!
I’ve downloaded the trial of AE 7 and it looks like it can do what I need. Pity there seems to be nothing that either FCP or Motion can do.
