Star Wars Text Scroll
Posted by Chip Hess on March 16, 2012 at 11:41 pmClient is looking for that old fashioned serial look we saw in Star Wars. Text starts huge and close at screen bottom and diminishes in size at it moves into the distance and offscreen, skewed.
How does one create this in AE, thanks!

March 17, 2012 at 12:12 amThe easiest way would probably be to create regular scrolling text and then use the corner pin effect to add the perspective.

March 17, 2012 at 3:14 amI’d disagree. I’d say normal text, turn on 3D switch and move active camera. Should give distance perspective including the possibility to light the text as well.

March 17, 2012 at 2:26 pmAll the above will work, my method: text layer turned 3d and positioned in front of camera (not moving the camera but the layer). Adjust the lens angle (wide) for perspective.
