    Hi!

I’m currently experimenting with emitters aiming to get an effect like the weapon of the two “Magna Guard” bodyguards from Star Wars!

Here is a Link where you can see the weapon in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbzihjSUeLs

I’m referring to the spear/pole with the emitting purple energy.

I was just wondering If I could have some guidance on how to do this.
Ok, so I started of, making a copy of “Electric (Alberto Vitali)”.

I then changed the emitter “tint” to the colour that I thought looked best. Also, I went into the properties tab and changed one of the settings to “Line”, rather than “Area”, “Point” or Ellipse”. So it would take the shape of the Pole/spear a little better.

(I will attach the image stages as screenshots)
Here is what I created myself: (Opinions and constructive criticism welcome!)

But I have hit a brick wall. When I go into the “Size” setting in properties, and size it down for zoomed out shots, it pretty much ruins the effect. (Will post screenshot of that too)

Does anyone know how I can avoid this? Or if you simply have an alternate way of creating this effect would be great too!!

(Please Note: I’m using Particle Illusion SE)

    Thanks!

    -Tom.
