    Dear whoever reads this,
I’m debating on wheather or not to buy P.I. and I was wondering if they have star wars like effects, such as: lightsaber, lasers, gunshots, bullet holes, things of that nature. Do they also have a lot of battle/war effects

I’ve only had the software a couple of weeks, but if you visit the Theater section at ravensblight.com you’ll find two of my short films using PI (one’s a sci-fi and one’s a gun fight). They’ll give you some idea of what can be done with this software. I draw my muzzle flares by hand, but use PI to simulate gun smoke, bullet hits, and squibs.
You can also create explosions, sparks, laser hits, and I noticed a light saber file posted here someplace. I’d suggest trying the free demo if you’re not sure, but i think the software’s amazing! 🙂

If you are using PI with a panning camera such as spaceships flying past the camera shooting at ground targets then the workflow becomes very difficult. Apart from that it great!

    Try the demo!
