I’ve been researching for a good lens for shooting video with the 60D I just bought. I’ve narrowed it down to the Sigma 17-50mm F2.8 and the Tamron 17-50mm F2.8

Both have image stabilization and maintain a 2.8 throughout the zoom range. Unfortunately, neither has full time manual focus which would be really nice.

The Sigma has a hypersonic motor, the Tamron does not. But the Tamron has 10 degrees more rotation for focus than the Sigma, making manual focus easier.

Does anyone have experience with either or both lenses and which would they recommend? Or is there another lens I should consider? Price is a factor.

    Many thanks,
    Brian
