Standard Decklink motherboard compatibility
Hi..I have a small irritant:
I recently purchased a new mobo (AsRock Penryn 1600 110db GLan XP Pro SP3 4Gb ram) together with a Q6700 and an Xpertvision dual 9600GT card(nVidia). I run premiere pro 3.2.0 with 6.7.1 Blackmagic drivers
I fitted my PCI Standard SDI Decklink card expecting it to work immediately. However, no audio or video input/output (although it seems to boot as normal. I have other PCI cards in the system that work fine. I have also tried the DL card on its own and in different slots to no avail.
The card worked previously in my Dual Xeon X5DAE AGP8 setup. Surprisingly it also works in a lowly MSI P4 using AGP8 NVS280 VGA.
I then tried an NVS285 card (PCI-e and recommeded by Blackmagic) but this combo won’t work either.
The Bios doesnt hint at any problems nor windows which loads the drivers ok – just black screen and silence. The only strange sign is that in Blackmagic DV mode (not native DV) the unrendered sound and vision on the timeline play out of sync after about seven seconds and the vga looks tatty. In native DV mode it’s fine.
Am I missing something really obvious?
