Standalone CatDV Pro version 13 not working in Big Sur

January 12, 2022 at 3:52 pmWhat do I need to do to get the standalone CatDV Pro version 13 working now that I’ve upgraded from Catalina to Big Sur? I found the page listed below but am not sure what, if anything, on that page is relevant to me.

January 12, 2022 at 9:50 pmDo you have a support contract with CatDV? I don’t know if I can help you but here is my recent experience with CatDV. I have been running this software since 2014.
I have noticed that a LOT of their support materials online are not up to date. I would contact CatDV via email first. SquareBox was bought last year by Quantum. I have some ongoing issues with CatDV that I need to address and support has been slow and unresponsive. Support with our vendor reseller ASG has also been slow or unresponsive.
I am running Catalina on 2 Mac Pros and 2 Mac Mini’s. I just installed 14.0.1, and I am having some clip playback issues and lots of errors regarding Native Helper and the support person gave me a link to 14.0.2 but I haven’t had time to install and test yet.

January 12, 2022 at 9:58 pmI wrote to tech support yesterday but have not received a response. Before Quantum bought CatDV I would get responses to my questions and was happy to get them even if I didn’t like what they had to say. I hope that Quantum will not be a disaster for CatDV, which has been an important part of my workflow since 2013.
How could Quantum have neglected to inform its customers that an update was required in order to run in Big Sur?
I have CatDV running again now that I’ve updated to version 13.0.14.

January 31, 2022 at 4:29 pmIt’s been almost three weeks since I wrote to tech support and I have not received any response. This does not bode well.
