Stairway to hell!
I shot a film w/ dvx100a 24p and captured according to what I thought were the best of circumstances but then the rub my friends. My indy film is just too cool for my own good and i came up with the very brilliant idea of tacking blue plastic tarp over the windows, outside, with the really lame idea that I could use it as a blue screen and put in whatever background I dreamed up. Well for three days all went really well the tests and the shots looked beautifull!!! But then much to my chagrin the sun came out and not only created horrible mottles on my lovely flat blue screen but lo and behold my actors were awash in a deep blue glow! I can fix many things in this life but the edges of the actors as walk in front of this bank of windows seems insurmountable. I could walk on them very easily so deep is the aliasing. It has become my nightmare! I have tried antaliasing and some blurring techniques and things do look a bit better until they get into shake and then all goes to hell very quickly. If anyone has an idea it would be greatly appreciated and let me say before anyone else. Yes I am an idiot and no I can’t reshoot. Thanks in advance
