When I keyframe outline text to go from one size font to a larger one (say, in the span of 10 seconds) it staggers horribly. I have checked the RT to safe and the video quality to Low (in FCP playback) and no luck. In fact, when I export the sequence to a QT file, I still get the text size staggering during a size increase. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, it is worth noting that this does not happen if I use regular text, only outline text.

    Thanks.

A assume you mean you are scaling up the size of the image (zooming in), and not increasing the actual FONT size IN the title.

Are you starting with a large-size font in the original; title and then scaling it back before you start?
You should not attempt to start with, say, a 25 point and try to “zoom in” to make it a 50 point.
(You’d want to type it in a 50 and use the “scale” setting to make it a 25, first.)

Regardless, scaling or rolling or panning text/graphics on-screen will always cause a certain amount of “line-crawl” as it moves.

You can try adding a Gaussian Blur filter to the graphic set to a 0.25 to 3.0 setting and be sure to RENDER.

Make sure that your start and end-points on the “move” are on FULL, EVEN numbers in the vertical position setting.

And be sure to only monitor for QUALITY only on an external NTSC (or PAL) monitor.
