Do any of you out there use StageTools Moving Pictures?

It takes an eternity to render 1080 picture moves with this thing. And it also has a ton of quirks.

Does anyone use it successfully? Anyone have any alternatives to do better moves than FCP basic motion can handle?

    Thanks

How well does Motion work when you have say 75 images that need motion in a 30 minute 1080p ProRes project? Is it manageable and easy enough to go back into motion to tweak a move?

    Thanks for the help.

    Jimmy,

Go ahead and check out Motion, but take a look at Fotomagico too. I compared it with Moving Picture a few years back, FM won hands down.

    Have a wonderful day.

I bought the Core Melt ImageFlow for stills using Motion and I love it. Motion rocks. Doing movement on stills in FCP is a PITA but in Motion, it is easy and quick.

I use the Lyric Pan Zoom Pro plug-in. I generally like it. It isn’t perfect, but I find it much easier to use than StageTools. I have been thinking about using Motion for a while. I suspect that I may use Lyric as a ‘quick-and-dirty’ tool to handle 90% of the work and do critical stuff in Motion.

I use the Lyric plug too, but it takes a bit of time to render. Fotomagico is very fast.

    Have a wonderful day.

Is Fotomagico a plugin or a standalone program? Ideally I would like to stay in the timeline so if there are changes, they could easily be made.
