Stacked video show-through
In After Effects I created a 3D Picture Montage with Trapcode Particular according to a tutorial by Rob Birnholz. This is a flying picture montgage on a black background. At the end of tutorial, he imported it into FCP. He placed a video of a moving textured background on one track and the montage video on a separate track and the texture showed through the black background in the montage video. I can’t get this to work. I’ve tried everything including swapping the tracks and changing the composite modes but that of course also effects the pictures in the montage. Any ideas how to make this work?

Did you render the montage out with alpha channels?
