Posted by Sabri Liefert on July 18, 2018 at 9:20 am

    Hi,

how can i stabilize footage with the point trackers (not with the cloud stabilizing method)?

I found out how to track points but don´t know how to then stabilize the results?

    thank you

    DR 14 and 15.5

Read page 1065 and forwards in the latest Resolve 14 manual.

    Thank you,

so the answer is i have to switch to the “Classic Stabilizer” in the tracker palette options.

Kind of confusing why it´s named “Classic Stabilizer” seems more like an advanced stabilizer menu.
Also there is no indication that you are currently in “Classic Stabilizer”. The palette has the same title “Stabilizer”.

Anyway i can now point track stabilize 🙂

[Sabri Liefert] “Kind of confusing why it´s named “Classic Stabilizer” seems more like an advanced stabilizer menu.”

Because the newer “refined” version of any application is generally more automated – aka, AI‘d and consequently offers fewer options that it is assumed you don’t need. Then the previous tool/product becomes identified as “Classic” in the Coca-Cola model. And history is rife with examples of how that tends to go.
