Stabilizing a swaying green-screened teacher
Hello all,
This seems like it would be a simple fix, but I’m having a little trouble finding the least time intensive solution. I’m working on a series of lecture videos, where the teacher is shot from waist up in front of a green screen. It’s obvious that as the shooting day wore on, the teacher began to shift his weight more and more between each foot, resulting in a pretty dramatic sway back and forth in the frame while he talks. I was hoping to lock down his X axis movement.
So far I’ve tried the warp stabilizer, which does lock it down, but on both x and y axis, resulting in unnatural up and down movements. I’ve also tried tracking his shirt button, and using the tracking data to stabilize him – this works, but requires a good deal of massaging to get a naturalistic feel.
I think the best solution would be getting the warp stabilization as keyframes, and deleting it’s influence on the Y axis. If anyone has a method for doing that, I’d be very grateful for your assistance.
