I have a 4×3 clip in a 16×9 project that is reformatted as pillarbox.
When I apply stabilize the image no longer has the pillarbox and the image exceeds the pillarbox masking.
I’ve applied a 4:3 sidebar but it moves along with the stabilizer effect even if I place it before the stabilizer effect.
    Any suggestions?
    thanks!!

Apply the 4:3 sidebar to an empty track above this clip (you may need to do an Add Edit to the filler so the effect doesn’t go on the entire empty track). If you do that the 4:3 won’t be affected by the stabilization.

Thanks, Michael…I should have said that I tried that…not sure why it’s not working though…even though it’s on a track above it is still moving as per stabilizer instructions…strange…

I made the letterbox I added to the top track green to show that for some reason the letterbox effect has also squeezed the image and added the black border.
