    Hey All,

I’m seeing lots of issues posted on here with new vegas 11 64 bit version, myself I’ve noticed lots of crashes as well especially when editing plain text lol, and that is sad…. simple things like text that are out of control causing the application to crash and shut down are simply unacceptable …. how can I put any trust into this application for future projects when the simplest fail right off the bat ….,

I gotta say I am disappointed and thinking about asking for a refund,
$600 bucks can buy me a lot or perhaps contribute to a different more stable video processing application like AE or Premiere…
I got to admit it is a good price for the software however when the software crashes occur so frequently what is the good of that great deal when you get a piece of software at a great price that DOES NOT WORK ……

Just wondering if these issues simply apply only to the new version 11 of vegas , wondering how is the vegas 10 x64 , some folks try to suggest just use the 32 bit version and you’re gonna be fine….
Well I want to take the advantage of the 64 bit os and the applications along that….

Is the 10 version of vegas 64 bit more stable ???

any input would be greatly appreciated…

thanks for the reply and sorry for my big mouth rant lol,
I just uninstalled vegas cleaned all the registries and reinstalled it
throwing everything I got at it and it seems stable lol WTF ??
I don’t understand…, I did have a display driver update twice since the first initial vegas install, meybe that was the cause of all the problems… sorry again, I love vegas like an old girlfriend 🙂

    at peace now…

    Cheers !

I am glad that you found peace Andrew…lol
Still, i doubt your updated display driver had anything to do with it.

well what else could that be ??
I remember I also installed quick time.., , I was unable to import mov files, so I installed quick time and seems like right around the same time all the problems started happening….
Now I am able to import mov files and everything runs great…,
I was messing with vegas last night pretty much full throttle and it worked well without a single crash…

Im still baffled by the past crashes….I would like to pin point the reasons to restore my sanity lol, maybe my pc is possessed…

Can vegas update itself without notification ?

Well hope all of you can figure out your problems,
this software is great when it works…..

Andrew, you are not the only one baffled be the odd crashes
of Vegas 11. And pin pointing the issues in Vegas 11 is very hard.

Vegas 11 has had stability issues from the get go and not all
the kinks has been ironed out as yet with the various updates.

svp 11 is the stinkiest crap ever. you’re fine with it? so far, so good. try to feed it with an hour or two of footage. drop a half of it on your timeline, fiddle with some fxs and the crazy dance will begin.
i left all that shit behind. i came back to 10 x64 and it works perfect.

I know its frustrating, but tone it down a bit Paul.
I know that Vegas 11 has issues, thats also why
i dont use it and stick with Vegas 10.

With the recent release of Vegas 12, is it realistic to expect Sony to come up with patches to fix the crashing problem in Vegas 11? (I’m a newbie with Vegas and have no idea how Sony deals with issues like this.)
