Stabilising camera shake
Hello everyone.
We have some footage that’s shot on a DSLR on a zoom lens without the stabiliser switched on the lens, so as you can imagine, the shake on the footage is pretty extreme.
We have tried using the Warp Stabiliser in Premiere Pro and this has distorted the frame, which makes it unusable.
We have also tried motion tracking in After Effects and even though the subject (a burger) isn’t shaking around in frame, the background seems to be shaking a lot, which is very noticeable in some of the corners in shot.
So then we went to Mocha to try and track the motion but ended up again with the shacking corners.
Can anyone suggest any other methods for stabilising a shot or does it sound like if these techniques didn’t work, then it’s un-savable?
We only have the Adobe CC but if there’s any other software or plug-ins then we might purchase them if you advise this.
Thank you for your time and help in advance.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
All the best
George
