I have a layer that is a silohuette (s/p?) of a guy…i need him to move out from behind a mask. I need the mask to stay still as the guy moves but the mask I put on him is moving as he moves between keyframes… I know this is probably an easy one for you AE gurus and maybe Ive been up too long and am not thinking but that why Im here my brain is bruised and hurting…thanks people.

    Hey

Have you tried to make the mask in a new adjustment layer or null layer ? This is the way you apply a mask to a layer without making this one in the same layer

what I did was made a black box in another layer and made it a track matte. Thanks for the response,
