    here is my spec for new PC:

    MB: MSI P67A-C45
    CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K, 3.40GHz
    CPU freezer: Coolink Corator DS
    RAM: Kingston 8GB (Kit 2x4GB) HyperX Blu 1600MHz DDR3 CL9 DIMM
    VGA: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 570,1280MB GDDR5
    PSU: Seasonic M12II-620 620W
    SSD: Crucial SSD m4 128GB 2.5” SATA 6Gb/s MLC
    HDD: (Storage/output): Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB HDD
    DVD: Samsung DVD+/-RW 22x SATA
    CASE: Fractal Design Define R3, Black Pearl Noctua SE

    1147€

    SSD (OS, PROGRAMS AAE, PREMIERE etc.)
    HDD (STORAGE)

    Please tell me. Is 1 SSD better then TWO 150 Gb VelociRaptor HDD @ 10,000 IN RAID 0 ???

    Which choice is better for speed? And what you think about my new PC 🙂

    The 2600 is excellent bang for the buck – good choice.

    Personally I’d get an SSD for the bootdisk – Intel is considered the top brand – but I don’t know how the Crucial performs. There are a lot of speed differences between models. And I’d definitely put in 16GB of RAM. RAM is cheap and nowadays AE makes good use of it.

    In the past you couldn’t install Adobe CS on a RAID volume – not sure how it is today but I wouldn’t go there. SSD’s are great for system and bootdisk.

    I agree with Barend about SSDs being good for installing OS and applications. But I’d never use one for my source media.

    thank’s for answer… Of course i get 16GB ram i just
    forgot write 2x 8GB ram.. So it’s 16 🙂

    Ok i use SSD for OS and AAE, PREMIERE
    and output will be on 1TB HDD 🙂 …
