SRT Timing off when exported from Premiere

June 17, 2022 at 2:13 amI have always had this problem with Premiere, but only after updating to CC 22.4 have I been unable to find a workaround.
I’ll build 708-1 captions in my sequence, and everything will look fine, perfectly in sync. When I export the captions to an SRT file, however, all of the caption times are off by around four seconds. This is the case whether I export as a sidecar from the export tab or export the captions directly from the Caption tab on the Text window.
I used to be able to get around this by exporting straight from the caption clip in the Project window, but since updating, that clip no longer exists. The captions exist as text clips in the new caption track on the sequence.
This only seems to be an issue with SRT files. When I export a CSV file using the same methods mentioned above, all of the times are correct.
What am I missing that is causing the timing of the SRT file to be so different? Alternatively, what’s the best way to build an SRT from a CSV file?
In case it’s relevant, I’m working on a 2017 iMac Pro with an Intel Xeon W CPU, a Radeon Pro Vega GPU and running Catalina 10.15.7.

June 21, 2022 at 6:01 pmCheck your sequence start timecode and ensure your IN point for export is at 00:00:00.
