    I’m trying to make a 800×450 mp4 from a 1280×720 file.

Squeeze is forcing my file to be 800×448, even when I check “unconstrained”.

I’m using the Main Concept encoder, AVC Profile is set to “High”.

When I use Compressor for the same job, I can set 800×450 easily – but without as many options, of course.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks!

Squeeze is (correctly) constraining the dimensions to be exactly divisible by 4, 8 or 16.

Quicktime H.264 isn’t so fussy and as such would result in a lower quality result.
