I’ve rendered a video 15 times in vegas in several formats but I’m still getting these square pixels in the render.

Original footage does not have them (viewed through multiple players). Preview set at best does not have them.

I’ve added audio tracks to the footage and now whenever I render I get these pixels. This has never happened before.

I’m using vegas 10 HD with an mp4 HD 720 video file. Running windows 7 64 bit.

Possibly it’s my computer because it’s a notebook with only 3 gigs of ram & a dual core. But this video is only a minute long and I’ve rendered many videos before on this same system with no problem.

    Any help is appreciated.

And yes, I’m matching the source settings in the project parameters.

“And yes, I’m matching the source settings in the project parameters.”

But are you matching them in your render settings, specifically the “square vs. rectangular pixels” options?

Ok. We’ve now gone over my head. 🙂

I did find the place where I could customize the render settings. Had no idea there were so many options. So I’m going to play with them & see if I can get a proper render.

Unfortunately I don’t know what much of this is but I’ll see what I can do with the help files as needed, and post back here if I get stumped again.

Thanks so much for your help!

Well, I’ve tried everything. Rendered a bunch and now every video I load into vegas has square pixels all over.

So I totally don’t know what I’m doing.

I’ve never had this problem before. I’ve edited many videos in Vegas & never had this problem. That said, this is my first foray into Vegas 10 HD.

    Any assistance is appreciated.

i am no expert but have similar system to you, i recall a few weeks ago my rendered videos were pixelated, I have a reasonable graphics card and fast system but have some pixelation on preview, i had to set the deinterlace method to i believe blend fields to get rid of these kind of artifacts on render.

anyway its only a suggestion hope it helps

    regards in advance
